Our documents are open to inspection and copying during our business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Electronic versions of many of our records are available here, but if you are unable to find the document you want, or need copies, please submit a public records request via our web form.

How to find documents

• Would you like to be put on the interested persons list for a hearing or rulemaking? Just make a note of the docket number and then email records@wutc.wa.gov, or phone 360-664-1234.
• Do you know the docket number? Dockets are sorted by year, and the first two numbers of a docket indicate the year of origin (e.g. 991292 will be found under 1999.)
• Do you know the company? Filings by company are listed alphabetically.
• Do you want to follow what's happening in a particular Industry? The Industry link allows you to view filings by companies in a regulated industry.
• Looking for a recent commission order? This link allows you to view commission orders in order of their issue date, starting with most recently issued order.
• Interested in one of our rulemakings? This link shows all rulemakings in the Records Management system - click the appropriate year the rulemaking was launched. We also have a more information-added web page of current rulemakings.
• Open Meeting documents are grouped by date the open meeting was held.
• Unfortunately, we have had to discontinue our Records Center search capability for technical reasons, but you can search for general online documents.
