Regulated Industries > Telecommunications > Telecom Reporting Requirements Intro The Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission (WUTC) regulates telecommunications companies in the state of Washington. The WUTC, by rule, requires telecommunications companies to file a number of reports in order to meet their statutory obligations. The reporting requirements vary based on the competitive status of the company, and whether or not a company provides local exchange services. Local-exchange-service-providing companies are further divided into Class A or B based on the number of access lines served. By clicking on the links below, our website will take you to tables showing the relevant reporting requirements for the following company types: Local exchange Companies: Class A (more than approximately 80,000 lines): ILECs ( Non-Competitively Classified) CLECs (Competitively Classified Class B (less than approximately 80,000 lines): ILECs (Non-Competitively Classified CLECs (Competitively Classified) Other Telecommunications Companies (Interexchange Carriers, Operator Service Providers) Washington Exchange Carrier Association The attached Excel File combines all of the required reports in a matrix format for easy reference (including references to the underlying WAC rules for more information): |
