The UTC protects consumers by ensuring that utility and transportation services are fairly priced, available, reliable and safe.

Making a Difference We play a vital role in the lives of our state’s citizens. With a small staff and budget we provide guidance and structure to key industries in our state. We ensure consumers are treated fairly; essential services are available and fairly priced; and companies provide services in a manner that is safe to people and property. The importance of our work and the service we provide is a source of intense pride for each of us. Working Together We willingly share our knowledge, experience and insights.
