The commission has approved changes in its pipeline safety gas rules. The rules will go into effect in September. For more rulemaking documents, see document link below.
The commission filed a proposed rulemaking (CR-102) on May 2, 2007, with the Office of the Code Reviser. .
The commission convened a workshop in March. A matrix listing stakeholder comments and responses, and an explanation for each suggested rule change was prepared in preparation for the workshop.
On July 16, 2006, the UTC filed a preproposal statement of inquiry (CR-101) to consider possible corrections and changes to selected rules in Chapter 480-93 WAC, Gas Companies—Safety, specifically addressing WAC 480-93-005, WAC 480-93-013, WAC 480-93-015, WAC 480-93-017, WAC 480-93-018, WAC 480-93-100, WAC 480-93-124, WAC 480-93-170, WAC 480-93-180, WAC 480-93-188, WAC 480-93-200, and the potential addition of new rule(s).
