The commission has approved the purchase of PacifiCorp by MidAmerica Energy, accepting a stipulation and full settlement by all parties. In their joint application, MidAmerican and PacifiCorp asked the UTC to complete its review by Feb. 28, 2006, as the companies would like to complete the transaction by Mar. 31. The commission agreed that there is good cause for the proposal to be heard on shortened notice.
