UTC suspends procedural schedule and establishes date for settlement hearing in NW Natural's request for a general rate increase for gas service.

The UTC suspends tariff revisions filed by Northwest Natural Gas Company on March 28, 2008. The purpose of the filing is to increase rates and charges for gas service provided to customers in the state of Washington. The company requests a gas rate increase of $4,342,063, or 4.75 percent.

On October 21, 2008, all parties in this proceeding filed a Full Settlement Stipulation that would resolve all issues in this docket. The commission suspends the current procedural schedule and schedules a settlement hearing in this proceeding in Olympia on November 12, 2008, at 2:30 p.m. at UTC headquarters.

A public comment hearing for members of the public to provide oral or written comments will be held on Thursday, November 13, 2008, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., in the Electric Center of the Clark Public Utilities, 1200 Fort Vancouver Way, Vancouver, Washington.
