On May 11, 2011, the Commission issued Order 01 - Initial Order, approving a settlement agreement, mitigating the penalty to $1,300 with the remaining $2,000 suspended for one year on condition of future compliance.
On May 6, 2011, the Commission issued a Notice canceling the brief adjudicative proceeding scheduled for May 12, 2011. The parties filed a Settlement Agreement on May 5, 2011. The Commission will review and consider the parties' proposed settlement documents and anticipates issuing an order without need for a settlement hearing.
The Commission schedules a hearing in a brief adjudicative proceeding for 1:30 p.m., on May 12, 2011, at UTC headquarters, Room 108, Richard Hemstad Building, 1300 S. Evergreen Park Drive S.W., Olympia, Washington, on a penalty assessment against Beeline Tours Ltd. in the amount of $3,300, alleging 33 violations of WAC 480-30-221.
On March 15, 2011, Beeline Tours filed with the Commission its request for a mitigation hearing. Beeline Tours admits the alleged violations, but asks that the penalty amount be reduced. However, Beeline Tours neither stated a specific amount it believes appropriate for a reduced penalty nor provided any reason in support of its request.
On April 14, 2011, Beeline Tours filed its statement of the reasons it believes would justify a reduction in the penalties assessed in Penalty Assessment TE-110155. (Docket TE-110155, see "Documents" at the bottom of this page for more information.)
