UTC sets a procedural schedule on PacifiCorp's request for a general rate increase for electric service.

The commission has suspended tariff revisions filed by PacifiCorp, d/b/a Pacific Power & Light Company, and has set a prehearing conference for March 6, 2008, at 1:30 p.m. The purpose of the filing is to increase rates and charges for electric service provided to customers in the state of Washington. The company requests an electric rate increase of $34.9 million, or 14.6 percent.

On March 7, 2008, the commission issued a Prehearing Conference Order, setting an Evidentiary Hearing for October 29 through November 5, 2008. A public comment hearing will be held on Sept. 25, 2008, at 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., in the Commissioner's Hearing Room No. B-33 of the Yakima County Courthouse, 128 North Second Street, Yakima, Washington.
