UTC sets a prehearing conference on PSE's general rate case

On December 20, 2011, the Commission issued a Notice of Public Comment Hearings scheduling two hearings, one for February 1, 2012, in Bellevue, Washington at the Bellevue City Hall, Council Chambers, 450-110th Avenue, beginning at 6:00 p.m. and one for February 15, 2012, in Olympia at the Commission's headquarters, also beginning at 6:00 p.m.

The commission has set a prehearing conference for July 20, 2011, at 1:30 p.m., on a tariff filing by Puget Sound Energy, Inc. to increase its rates for electric and gas service to customers in Washington. The proposed filings provide for a general rate increase of $160.7 million or 8.1 percent for the electric tariffs and $31.9 million or 3.0 percent for the gas tariffs. The commission consolidated and suspended operation of the as-filed tariffs by Order 01 entered following the June 30, 2011, open meeting.

The commission will hold a prehearing conference in this matter at 1:30 p.m., on Wednesday, July 20, 2011, in the Commission's Hearing Room, Second Floor, Richard Hemstad Building, 1300 S. Evergreen Park Drive S.W., Olympia, Washington. (Docket 111048, see "Documents" link below for more information).

On July 22, 2011, the Commission issued Order 03, Prehearing Conference Order, which, among other things, set an evidentiary hearing for February 14-17, 2011, beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the Commission's headquarters.
