UTC adopts and repeals rules in WAC 480-15, relating to Household Goods Carriers

The UTC has approved changes in its household goods carriers rules. The rules will go into effect on Jan. 27, 2008. For more rulemaking documents, see documents link below.

Background. The UTC is examining whether new or revised regulations are needed in the household goods carrier industry. The commission filed a Proposed Rulemaking (CR-102) with the Code Reviser's Office on October 24, 2007, on final proposed draft rules to WAC 480-15, Household Goods Carrier Rules. The proposed draft rules, as well as revision to the household goods tariff (Tariff 15-B), and consumer information guide are available for your review and comment by Monday, November 19, 2007.

The commission has set an adoption hearing for Wed., December 12, 2007, at 1:30 p.m. at UTC headquarters in Olympia.
