Washington State Access Charge Reform

UPDATE:   State Supreme Court Upholds WUTC Rulemaking

On March 6, 2003, the Washington State Supreme Court, in a unanimous 9-0 decision, upheld the validity of the Commission's access charge reform rule (WAC 480-120-540).  In upholding the rule, the Court found that the rule does not "set rates" in violation of the Commission's rulemaking authority, and found that the rule is not arbitrary or capricious.
